Catherine's Affirmation of Faith
is "The Apostle's Creed"

Catherine is a Masters of Divinity candidate at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in Boston www.gcts.edu (CUME campus)where she completed a Diploma in Christian Studies in 2011. In 2013 Catherine was featured in a Student Spotlight article in Gordon Conwell's 2013 Annual Report.

Catherine is candidate for ordination with American Baptist Church of Massachusetts (www.tabcom.org) through whom she is licensed to preach. In 2009 continuing in her passion for community ministry, Catherine training in North Carolina with International Fellowship of Chaplains and after clearance and recommendation was designated as an ordained Senior Chaplain with I.F.O.C. www.ifoc.org. Years earlier, Catherine received non-denominational ministerial licensing after completing leadership training with mentor, Rev. Juanita Price and Rev. Doreen Giles, (Pastors, Saved Souls Church --New Jersey. She received foundational instruction relating to proper Hermeneutics; laws of public speaking (modeling Jesus Christ); intro to Apologetics; and understanding Biblical Supportive Counseling. Rev. Price also facilitates mentee participation in Prison ministry fellowship.

Catherine and Shelton Miller are members of Congregation Lion of Judah which is a bilingual church in South End, Boston. Pastor Roberto Miranda is the Senior Pastor and Pastor Gregory Bishop oversees the English ministry. Catherine service at "LOJ" has included teaching open-discussion bible study, leading prayer cross-gender and women's prayer groups; preaching; leading devotion/worship for certain bi-lingual services; and facilitating shelter service/bible study at Woods Mellon shelter. Her husband teaches English Discipleship classes and leads the English Men's Ministry.

Catherine has served as Bible Study teacher in Massachusetts for Straight Ahead Ministries www.straightahead.org which brings the Gospel of Jesus Christ to incarcerated juveniles. Catherine also has a passion for the sick and shut-in; homeless/displaced communities; food pantries, etc. 

Catherine's daughter who is a Civil Engineer, and her son is a personal trainer/Phys Ed teacher and aspiring actor.

Catherine was an active member of Victory Christian Tabernacle in Brooklyn, NY from 1996 through 2005 when she relocated to Massachusetts. Under the mentorship of Pastor Roberta Moore and other leaders of she had the opportunity to work in the administrative department and teaching children's sunday school. She began training as an altar worker and served in this role for many years being responsible for praying with and instructing new believers as they received Christ, as well as evangelism through street ministry. Catherine also helped develop Victory's dance ministry.

Catherine cherished her mom, Pearl D. Bigger who stuck by her through life's challenges and rejoiced greatly in her successes. Her mom modeled strong family values and was an encourager toward always rejoicing while persevering! Her mom had great faith in God and exemplified what it meant to live daily in personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  She remained active in sharing the Gospel until the end, even when health prevented her from attending her church, First AME Zion Church. Ms. Pearl went home to be with the Lord on April 3, 2010. Her favorite song was "Give Me a Clean Heart" which will be the constant prayer of Catherine's heart as she walks in The Way with Christ...
